Metagigs Community Standards

Metagigs is a gaming software platform that enables player-to-player gaming sessions within online gaming communities. We are committed to building a safe, respectful, and fair environment for all users.
These Community Standards apply to all users and all activity on the Metagigs platform, including Sessions, communications, reviews, profiles, and interactions with other users — both online and at any real-world events hosted by Metagigs. Violating these Standards may result in enforcement action against your Account, including suspension or termination. For behavior that poses a real-world risk to others, we reserve the right to contact or cooperate with relevant authorities.

We appreciate your cooperation with these Standards and commitment to keeping Metagigs safe and civil.
1. Safety
a) Child Endangerment
Metagigs has a zero-tolerance policy for endangering minors, including:
i) Any predatory behavior, including attempting to befriend a minor in order to manipulate and exploit them (i.e., grooming)
ii) Sexualizing minors in any way
iii) Engaging in sexual conversation with or soliciting sexual material from minors
iv) Sharing, requesting, or discussing child sexual exploitation material (CSAM)
v) Sexual extortion of children
vi) Child sex trafficking
vii) Coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity
Metagigs reports suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by federal law.
b) Terrorism and Violent Extremism
Metagigs has a zero-tolerance policy for content or behavior that incites, condones, supports, glorifies, or promotes any terrorist or extremist organization or individual (foreign or domestic), and their ideology or actions, including:
i) Depictions of or support for terrorist or extremist attacks
ii) Depictions of or support for the leaders or representatives of terrorist or extremist organizations
iii) Sharing the slogans, images, flags, manifestos, or icons of terrorist or extremist organizations
iv) References to the ideologies, messages, or strategies of terrorist and extremist organizations
v) Expressing support, condoning, or glorifying terrorist extremist ideologies or actions
vi) Recruiting membership for a terrorist or extremist organization
vii) Fundraising for terrorist or extremist organizations, people, or supporting groups
viii) Expressing support, condoning, or glorifying mass shootings and other acts of domestic terrorism or violent extremism
c) Threats, Bullying, and Harassment
Threatening others with real-world or online harm, inciting violence against people or property, bullying, stalking, trolling, harassment, intimidation, extortion, and blackmail are not permitted on Metagigs. We also do not allow any content that depicts, glorifies, or promotes such behavior, including:
i) Threatening physical or sexual assault or violence
ii) Threatening to harm someone in real life
iii) Revealing or threatening to reveal others' personal information
iv) Threatening to take over another's Metagigs account or to file false abuse reports against another user
v) Singling out a user or group for ridicule or abuse, either publicly or privately
vi) Sexual harassment
vii) Impersonating individuals, groups, or entities in ways that may damage their reputation or cause others to harm them
d) Suicide, Self-Injury, and Harmful Behavior
At Metagigs, we take our users' well-being seriously. We do not allow content or behavior that depicts, glorifies, or encourages suicide, self-injury, or real-world activities that may create an extreme risk of physical harm, including:
i) Describing methods for suicide or self-harm
ii) Content that glorifies, supports, or depicts instances or methods of suicide or self-harm
iii) Dangerous physical challenges or stunts in the real world

e) Discrimination, Slurs, and Hate Speech
Metagigs welcomes users of all backgrounds and identities. We do not allow content or behavior that supports, glorifies, or promotes hate groups, their ideologies, or actions. You may not discriminate, mock, or promote hatred against individuals or groups, or encourage others to do so, on the basis of their:
i) Age
ii) Race, perceived race, or ethnicity
iii) National origin
iv) Sexual orientation
v) Gender, gender identity, or gender expression
vi) Religion or religious affiliation or beliefs
vii) Disability status, including diseases, bodily conditions, disfigurement, mobility issues, and mental impairment
viii) Veteran status
ix) Caste
x) Familial status
f) Harmful Off-Platform Speech or Behavior
Metagigs users treat everyone with respect, both on and off of Metagigs. If credibly reported to us, we may take action against users who, among other things:
i) Are associated with organized crime, terrorist or extremist organizations, or hate groups
ii) Harass, bully, discriminate, or harm others outside of Metagigs
iii) Share others' personal information off-platform, including making false reports to authorities
iv) Have been convicted of certain egregious crimes, engage in certain illegal activities, or encourage others to do so
2. Civility
Civility is at the core of the Metagigs community. To promote a respectful environment, Metagigs prohibits certain types of content, including:
a) Real-World Sensitive Events
Metagigs prohibits content that recreates specific real-world sensitive events; mocks the victims of such events; supports, glorifies, or promotes the perpetrators or outcome of such events; or capitalizes on these events for commercial purposes, including content about:
i) Mass acts of violence against people or property
ii) Specific, real-world, natural disaster events
iii) Human or civil rights violations
b) Violent Content and Gore
We do not allow content that contains extreme violence or serious physical or psychological abuse, including:
i) Animal abuse and torture
ii) Realistic or real-world depictions of extreme gore, graphic violence, or death
c) Sexual Content
Metagigs prohibits content that depicts sexual activity or seeks romantic or sexual relationships through the Platform, including:
i) Engaging in sexually explicit conversations or soliciting sexual material from other users
ii) Content that depicts, strongly suggests, or explicitly describes sexual acts
iii) Nudity
d) Illegal and Regulated Goods and Activities
We do not allow users to discuss or engage in illegal activities or encourage others to do so on Metagigs. We also prohibit the discussion, depiction, or promotion of certain illegal and regulated goods or activities, including:
i) Controlled substances, as well as alcohol, tobacco, vaping, and their associated paraphernalia
ii) Bomb, explosive, and weapon-making instructions
iii) Any form of illegal gambling
iv) On-platform contests where MetaCredits, MetaCrowns, or anything of value is offered as a prize, unless expressly authorized by Metagigs
e) Profanity
To keep Metagigs safe and civil for everyone, excessive profanity, slurs, and attempts to evade profanity filters are not permitted. Users are expected to maintain a respectful tone in all platform communications, including:
i) Using misspellings, special characters, or other methods to evade detection of profanity
ii) Quoting or using audio containing profane or offensive content
f) Political Content
To maintain a respectful environment, we prohibit the discussion or depiction of certain political content, including:
i) Current candidates running for public office, including their slogans, campaign material, rallies, or events
ii) Political parties, including official party-affiliated organizations
iii) Inflammatory content related to real-world political issues
3. Integrity
We want Metagigs users to trust each other to engage fairly and honestly. Metagigs requires its users to follow their local laws and prohibits the following:
a) Cheating and Scams
We do not permit users to deploy or discuss deceptive schemes or methods of cheating on our platform, including:
i) Using exploits to gain an unfair advantage anywhere on the platform
ii) Sharing exploits with others or encouraging others to cheat
iii) Selling services with misleading or inaccurate descriptions
iv) Misrepresenting your real or virtual world identity in an effort to mislead others
v) Attempting to access another user's account without their authorization
vi) Posting misleading links for the purpose of gaining unauthorized access to others' accounts or information (i.e., phishing)
b) Spam
Metagigs prohibits disrupting or misleading others on the platform, including:
i) Deceptive, sensational, or otherwise misleading content used to inappropriately drive engagement
ii) Repetitive messaging to other users
iii) Creating content solely to direct users off Metagigs
c) Intellectual Property Violations
We expect you to respect the intellectual property rights of others. Copyright and registered trademark takedown requests can be filed at support@metagigs.gg. Metagigs may proactively remove content if we suspect it may infringe on someone's intellectual property rights.
d) Platform Economy
The following activities are prohibited in order to maintain the integrity of the Metagigs economy:
i) Using third-party services to buy, sell, trade, or give away MetaCredits or MetaCrowns outside the Platform
ii) Engaging in off-platform, secondary-market transactions for account access or platform services
e) Impersonation of Platform Professionals
Claiming to be a verified Platform Professional when you are not, or using another person's Pro credentials, badges, or profile to misrepresent your identity or qualifications, is prohibited.
f) Account Sharing
Each Account is personal to the individual who created it. Sharing your Account with another person is prohibited. Platform Professionals may not allow another person to use their Account to deliver Sessions. Buyers may not share their Account with others to access the Platform.
g) Review Manipulation
Attempting to obtain favorable reviews through threats, incentives, pressure, or coordinated behavior is prohibited. Reviews must reflect genuine experience. The following are specifically prohibited:
i) Withholding session delivery or threatening poor service to coerce positive reviews
ii) Offering compensation, discounts, or other incentives in exchange for reviews
iii) Threatening negative consequences for honest reviews
iv) Coordinating with other users to artificially inflate or deflate ratings
4. Security

To help maintain a safe and secure platform, Metagigs does not permit:
a) Sharing Personal Information
To maintain privacy and safety, users may not share or request personal information through the Platform for the purpose of transacting or communicating off-platform, including:
i) Email addresses
ii) Passwords or access tokens
iii) Home addresses or physical locations
iv) Financial information including credit cards and bank account details
v) Telephone numbers
vi) Social media handles, Discord tags, or messaging app usernames
vii) Government identification numbers
b) Non-Circumvention
Users may not share personal contact information with other users through the Platform for the purpose of arranging transactions, payments, or services outside the Platform. Users may not coordinate off-platform transactions with users they connected with on Metagigs. For full details, see Section 9 of the Terms of Use.
c) Misusing Platform Systems
Metagigs maintains systems to keep users safe and secure. We prohibit attempts to bypass these systems, gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts, or otherwise violate platform security, including:
i) Attempting to get prohibited content around safety systems
ii) Creating or using an account to avoid enforcement action taken against another account
iii) Using VPNs to mask your location in order to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
iv) Offering access to your Account or soliciting access to another's Account for any unauthorized purpose
v) Using bots or automated tools to disrupt the Platform or other users' experience
vi) Falsely reporting other users or encouraging others to do so
